We are experiencing growth and Crossroads Turning Points is increasing services and job opportunities. CTP is searching for dynamic Account Receivable and Billing Specialist. Responsible for the accurate and timely billing and collection of Accounts Receivable Claims.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews and verifies all contract, capacity and private claims within the Electronic Health Record (E.H.R.).
Applies payments from all outside vendors to the electronic health record
Reviews and tracks admissions, discharges, denials and all related accounts receivable items.
Works in collaboration with the Information Technology team using the E.H.R.
Communicates effectively and efficiently in both oral and written communications.
Keeps accurate filed records for the current year, and makes those records accessible to auditors, the Director of Accounting, and other authorized internal customers as required. The management of the files falls under the records retention rules
Assists in budgeting for the fiscal year by providing summary spreadsheets in Excel to the Director of Accounting.
Reviews billing for all accounts receivable funding sources to assure quality and accuracy of billings as well as any discrepancies with the assistance of the Director of Accounting and the Director of Information Technology on an "as needed" basis.
Conducts audits of accounts receivable records to assure accuracy of billing, reporting, and collection of accounts receivable accounts.
Compare and reconcile accounts receivable billings to the accounting records monthly
Produce monthly accounts receivable aging reports, review for accuracy and present to the Medicaid and A\R Compliance Coordinator.
Maintains project management audit files for federal grants.
Accesses client data and must maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA regulations and Confidentiality Law, C.F.R. 42 part 2.
Assists with accounting duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
Education: Associates Degree in Accounting required and Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
Experience: Preferred 2 years' experience in accounts receivable and billing with an emphasis in Accounting.
Experience with and intermediate knowledge of Excel.
Other: Valid driver's license and insurability.
