glassybaby has the rare opportunity for an experienced, driven and passionate Corporate Sales Manager. This role will establish new business and leverage existing contacts to meet sales goals that continue to build transactional and high volume accounts and raise brand awareness.Each glassybaby is a unique, handblown glass votive made by hand in our Madrona and Berkeley Hotshops. Since day one, glassybaby has been all about giving, and giving back. In this spirit, glassybaby has donated more than nine million dollars to charities dedicated to hope and healing. In addition to our hotshops and national events, glassybaby has four retail locations in the Seattle/Bellevue areas and four in the San Francisco bay area. This position is located at our Madrona corporate office and works closely with our warehouse fulfillment in SoDo (Seattle).
The Corporate Sales Manager is a critical contributor to glassybaby’s success. This role has a unique opportunity to develop and execute with a strong outbound prospecting plan to bring our one-of-a-kindness to new markets and foster our existing customer base. The incumbent will be tasked to grow a portfolio that generates revenue and strong partnerships that spread our light through new communities. This role will report to the SVP of Retail Sales and will be based in Madrona, co-located with our Store, Event Space and Hot Shop.Responsibilities will include:
Manages the corporate sales programs with existing partnerships
Establish new business and strategic partnerships with restaurants, hotels, corporations, real estate groups, designers, and other potential large-volume customers, in order to increase sales and raise brand awareness.
Implements various sales techniques to achieve monthly revenue targets
Build, develop and manage sales programs, such as our licensed product sales program.
Identify potential resellers within strategic markets to increase awareness of glassybaby in locations without a physical presence.
Build rapport by sharing the glassybaby story at all reasonable opportunities while professionally and accurately representing glassybaby in all interactions with current and future partners and customers.
Sophisticated and exceptional interpersonal customer service in alignment with glassybaby mission and brand.
Conduct outreach via networking and research with local/area businesses, community organizations, giving partners, etc., in order to drive sales.
Ability to own and grow your book of business, develop executable pipleline, forecast and sales plan to close business per the expected sales cycle.
Work in partnership with Store Managers to serve customers, increase sales & awareness, promote in-store events, and conduct outreach.
Work with all revenue channels, including glassybaby’s Pop Ups Manager to build relationships with corporate customers by coordinating corporate sales and pop up events.
Collaborate with others in marketing for other projects outside of direct responsibilities.
Ensure corporate invoicing in a timely manner and communicate with the Corporate Accountant on any financial issues which need resolution.
Skills and Qualifications should include:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of sales or business development experience; experience in account management a plus.
Cold calling experience helpful.
Ability to execute and report on sales activity relative to goal and activity metrics; use of crm or other system a plus.
Demonstrated experience comfortably conducting outreach and hosting events. Event management experience a plus.
Ability to exhibit a passion for promoting the glassybaby product.
Able to establish rapport quickly with potential partners.
A history of working/volunteering for philanthropic/non-profit agencies is helpful.
Motivated and driven self-starter.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, POS, and proprietary software.
Proficiency with email required. Experience with accounting software desired.
Professional, courteous and clear verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates need own transportation for regional travel; some national travel necessary
